I really like the stark yellow of the flower and the angle this has been photographed at.

The DOF could be slightly larger, rendering it so the petals and the rest of the yellow area is fully in focus, but this is a personal taste matter and you can try lots of different things when photographing.

The background is very neutral, which is good, meaning that your eye is not distracted from the main picture.

One thing though, the plant stalk is green and tears your eye away. If you edited this is photoshop you could darken the colour of the green, blending it into the background a little more.
